Abstract Submission Guidelines
Submission format
- Abstracts are limited to 2.500 characters (including spaces).
- Each application should specify whether it is for an oral or a poster presentation.
- Oral presentations will be allocated 7 minutes for the presentation with an additional 3 minutes for questions and audience interaction.
- Poster presentations will be in the format and size that will be conveyed after acceptance.
- The Scientific Programme Committee may reassign submitted presentations between the two formats as per its discretion.
Submission limit
- Only one presentation will be permitted to one designated presenter.
- There are no restrictions on the number of abstracts submitted
- Abstracts submitted to other international meetings must not be submitted and will not be accepted.
Presenting delegate
- The presenting author must be a registered congress delegate.
- Only the name of the presenting author will appear in the final congress programme.
- Presenters whose abstracts have been accepted must register for the Congress and pay the registration fee before the registration deadline.
- Failure to register in time may result in exclusion from the programme.
Language of submission
- All abstracts must be submitted and presented in English.
Category of submission
- The submission category for the abstract should be as per the official listing.
- The one category considered most suitable for the oral or poster presentation should be selected.
Acceptance notification
- Presenters will be notified regarding acceptation of their abstracts by May 31, 2018.
- Presenters whose abstracts have been accepted must register for the Congress and pay the registration fee before July 01, 2018
- Failure to register in time may result in exclusion from the programme.
- Further details and instructions for oral and poster presentation would be conveyed after that time.
ABSTRACT CONTENT AND FORMAT
Online abstract form is divided into the following sections
Objective
- Concise statement on why the study was conducted.
Method
- Location, number and type of human subjects, non-human species or material being studied.
- Design of the study and type of intervention.
- Principal assays or test(s) performed and the types of statistical analyses if appropriate.
Results
- Main findings and results should be reported.
- Results should be supported by statistical analysis where appropriate
Conclusions
- Results should be supported by statistical analysis where appropriate
- Main conclusions of the study and significance of the results.
Important caveats
- Proof read abstract carefully before submitting.
- Only use standard abbreviations if indicated.
- Abstracts stating merely that the results will be presented or discussed at the congress may be rejected.
- The use of tables and images in the abstract is not allowed.
- Submissions by email, fax and post will not be accepted.
